Data4SmartHealth (D4SH) 2026 is the 7th edition of an annual workshop organized by the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. The goal of D4SH is to promote knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology transfer in the field of Artificial Intelligence for healthcare by bringing together researchers, clinicians, students, companies, and public institutions.

The 2026 edition, organized in collaboration with the South Tyrol Health Authority (SABES), will focus on Artificial Intelligence for personalized cognitive training and digital health interventions, taking the ACTA (Adaptive Cognitive Training with Artificial Intelligence) project as a motivating use case.

The workshop will bring together experts in AI regulation, adaptive and human-centered AI, cognitive rehabilitation, and machine learning for healthcare. Through invited talks and discussions, participants will explore how intelligent systems can be designed, validated, and deployed to support personalized and trustworthy health interventions. Particular attention will be devoted to the challenges of personalization, user engagement, explainability, clinical adoption, and regulatory compliance.

D4SH provides a unique forum for discussing how AI can be translated into practical solutions that improve health outcomes and quality of life. The event aims to strengthen connections between academic research, clinical practice, and technological innovation, fostering new collaborations and research opportunities.

Participation is free of charge.
